Seddon gets the "Green" Light with New Guide
J & S Seddon (Painting) Limited has put the environment at the top of its agenda - after launching a new guide to help staff play their part in preserving and protecting the area in which they work.
The company has launched a new handbook, which gives workers on-site a wealth of information to get the latest advice and guidance on going ‘green’.
It includes details of how to implement a ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ policy with materials in the workplace.
Seddon’s own environmental expert, Neil Fraser, has written the guide which is printed using sustainable methods.
Neil, who works as a Quality and Environment Manager, said: “This publication raises general awareness of green factors and supports the company’s own environmental policy.
“It takes our policies protect the environment out onto our building and painting sites, to give contract managers and other employees the information they need to adhere to the company’s standards.”
Stuart Seddon, chairman of J & S Seddon (Painting) said: “We were one of the first construction companies in the UK to achieve ISO 14001 and this new guide for staff is a continuation of our commitment to sustainability and the environment.
“We keep investigating and implementing new ideas to improve environmental efficiencies, including modern methods of construction and power generation. It’s important to make people aware of this approach across the entire company and this publication enables us to do that.”
